Welcome to the second Love Arts York festival, a festival with the simple aim of using the arts to get people to think about and talk about mental health and wellbeing. Love Arts York is an exciting collaboration between lots of local organisations and individuals with an interest in mental health and wellbeing.

A City-wide Festival and Conference 29 June – 3 July 2015

We have been amazed at the level of interest and support we have seen in launching this first festival, ranging from the organisations who have joined forces to organise the festival, to partners in the city who have been incredibly generous with their time and facilities to provide venues and other support. We are showcasing some fantastic work from local people with direct experience of mental health problems, as well as using other art and artists to help us understand and celebrate the close link between mental health and creativity. The range of art included runs from visual arts to music and from theatrical performance to film. Anyone with an interest in mental health and wellbeing will find lots to discover and lots to talk about. We really hope you can get to some of our events and that you enjoy the festival!
